My Divorce and Dissolution Practice

I work with clients at all stages of a divorce or dissolution, from the decision to file through post-judgment requests for modification or enforcement of existing court decrees. I protect your rights from the beginning, planning every move as I help you accomplish your objectives.

I handle all matters related to or arising out of a divorce or dissolution proceeding, including:

  • Child custody and visitationI will help you establish and implement custody and visitation arrangements that are in the best interests of your minor children, while protecting your rights as a parent. I will make certain that any special needs, including education, health, religious training and other needs, are considered.
  • Child supportI will review all proposed child support orders to ensure that they comply with Ohio guidelines. I will make certain that all relevant sources of income are properly considered, including self-employment income, seasonal income and commission-based income.
  • The division of marital property. I will help you formulate and implement a plan that equitably divides the debts and assets of your marriage, including real property, bank accounts, investments, retirement plans and business assets. I will take property claims to trial, if necessary.
  • Spousal support (formerly known as alimony). I will work with you to determine whether a grant of spousal support is appropriate and, if so, how much should be paid for how long. I will make certain that the court considers all relevant factors, including the length of the marriage, the age and health of the parties, the likelihood of either party obtaining gainful employment, and when appropriate, child support payments.
  • Domestic violence. I represent either side in cases involving allegations of domestic violence, filing for or defending attempts to obtain restraining orders
